Moose River Regular – [12] So where’d you find her?
This page sorta mirrors the role of it’s analogue in the main series, as a way to sorta bridge two actions and give some extra exposition on Shea. However, again, the version from the main series is definitely better.
Other changes includes how Shea was more of a friend to Anne’s sister Debbie (who I totally forgot was named as such when I had renamed her Angel), and Shea being a virgin at this point in her life.
Finally, this page is also when I started adding a thick border around everyone to help make them stand out against the background and other elements, a practice which I continued using throughout the entire run of Moose River, and up until around 2014 or so when I was finally convinced to stop. I was inspired to use this technique after seeing it in use on the Clerks animated series, where the distinctive style of Chris Bailey used them in his character designs. I eventually learned how to do without it, but I will admit I used it because I felt it give my art its own visual style.
I also totally forgot the “dig your own hole” reference I threw in there. What a classic album that one was. Is.
