Check it out! I’m working on a little portfolio site for college to showcase my technical and professional writing capabilities, and I decided to make a fake website for the actual city of Moose River (run by the local Moose River city government and Chamber of Commerce). It’ll have resources for the citizens of Moose River, businesses in Moose River, links to Moose River government agencies (like the local Moose River-based Tuolumne County Green Cross) and all that jazz, all of which will have SOME kind of paper I did which shows what I can to in a technical writing aspect.

I tried my best to make it look like an authentic city website, complete with inoffensive graphics and regular use of royalty-free clip arts, and–best of all (I think)–the city URL “www.ci.mooseriver.us”. The only thing missing is the “ca” in the address (and thus “www.ci.mooseriver.ca.us”), but that wouldn’t be possible because it’s not a real city website and so I may get in trouble for! There may also be some cameos from Moose River citizens in the site, and maybe when I’m done with it, I’ll add links to other Moose River “sister cities”, wherever they may be. 😀

However, you might see it while it’s still underconstruction… Just keep an eye on it and eventually it’ll be finished, ok?
