Wikipedia Admins Are Insane Control Freaks

September 18th, 2008

There is a supermarket chain in the San Francisco Bay Area call Lunardi’s which serves, oh, I dunno, some 11 million Bay Area-ites a day over eight stores. I tried to create a page for it but it was swiftly deleted by some hot shot admin who claimed there was no references to how important the supermarket chain was. As if serving the community wasn’t notable enough. And yet there are plenty of articles about a website that gets 1,000 hits a day or some of the most obscure people around which have yet to be deleted, simply because a single reference in a copy of Juxtapose magazine makes them “notable” enough to warrant the entry’s existence.

I never really cared to touch Wikipedia for any reason to start with. These control freak admins just make me even less interested in participating in the encyclopedia that “anyone” can edit. “Anyone”/”Everyone”? HA!

  1. Tom sezzzzz:

And the whole “let’s never mention John Edwards’ love child and his cheating on his cancer-stricken wife despite him being caught dead to rights” episode wasn’t tip-off enough?

Again, put enough nerds together in a single room and they become the biggest bunch of cliquey, oppressive snobs this side of high school.
